delicious post, cheers! 🙂 If you try to order a beer at a bar in the Czech Republic, the bartender might not know what you’re talking about. There, the stuff is called ‘pivo’. But before you chalk it up to a language barrier, consider that plenty of non-English-speaking countries use a cognate for the word “beer,” like ‘bier’ (Germany) or ‘bière’ (France) 🙂 Other countries use different words altogether. Check out how “beer” is said across Europe in the map below, which was made by Scotland-based Feòrag NicBhrìde. Who knows, it might come in handy during your next trip abroad… 😉

Oh Doda you make me feel nostalgic. This time last year I was drinking a pint of Fullers London Pride at a riverfront pub in Twickenham. And many years ago I lived in Berkhamsted, which is very close to Harpenden, and enjoyed a few more pints of beer in pubs there. Ah happy days!!! Thanks for a lovely little walk down memory lane 🙂

I got Sue’s comment… The reply goes to the person (bloggers) you sent it to… In this case both Sue and You got a comment from me in your site (corresponding to the title of the post)…
If you answer here directly to her (first attempt) she would have got your reply to her at her blog… Maybe she lost it among other notifications… Not sure
Lots of bloggers reply the way I did, saying I agree with … Plus comment to you…
It is way to multiply the dialogue, but as it caused confussion I won’t do it again … (and this time You will only get this note) 🙂
Many hugs and best wishes Doda, Aquileana 😛
