Shooting the Breeze while Awaiting Spring …

~ Happy Month of March to You All ~

Fathom your Thoughts into the Blue and Wait for the Miracle …

Awaiting the Miracle ...

Awaiting the Miracle …

~ Meteorological Spring arrived on the 1st of March and runs until 31st of May ~ Still a bit chilly and wet,but we can see the first signs of the Astrological Spring which arrives on the 20 th of March and runs until 21 June ~

Aeolus, the ruler of the winds, blew a gentle breeze over the Greys of Winter and up to the snow-clad peaks of Mount Parnassus to melt the soft snow and bring the Queen of all Seasons.

The Greys of Winter ...

The Greys of Winter …

Slowing melting ...

Spring snow slowly melting …

The Wintry Face of Tamarix by the seaside, was awaiting the Transformation, was writing its own story.

The barren branches of Tamarix waiting for the miracle ...

barren branches of Tamarix waiting for the miracle …

Its dark trunk looked so dramatic against the vast blue firmament and it started recalling its past glories while was patiently waiting for the Transformation …

Awaiting the Absolute Transformation, the Miracle …

The Absolute Transformation ...

The Absolute Transformation …

Into the Pinks ...

Into the Pinks …

The same Tree, the same Place, the same Soul …

The gentle winter breeze softly caressed my face,I stood still and looked up in the sky to observe the Anarchic Architecture of the Clouds above Mount Parnassus where Orpheus met Apollo near the Castalia “spring” and gave him the golden lyre.I haven’t studied Nephology, but I love travelling my dreams and my thoughts with the ever-changing shapes of the thick cumulus clouds.

Travelling my Dreams and Thoughts with the Clouds ...

Travelling my Dreams and Thoughts with the ever-changing shapes of the Clouds …

Still I stood recalling mythology above and beyond the sea and the Mount Parnassus clouds; and I arbitrarily grasped what the Gods hadn’t given me …

the greys of winter into the blues ...

the greys of winter into the blues …

Above and Beyond the Sea and the Clouds ...

Above and Beyond the Sea and the Clouds …

and painted the skies with my own colours, the colours of the Spring …

painting with my own colours ...

painting with my own colours …

arbitrarily grasping what the Gods hadn’t given me …

  7. Dear Doda.. your post excels as it propels us with a much needed boost through the Spring Door.. Your Tree showing how it springs to life with blossom after the time to rest during winter..
I loved every aspect of your post as you tied it in with Greek mythology and your travels and loves of Ocean and Sky…

May we all shoot the breeze while awaiting Spring… today the Sun shone the wind is still fierce .. but is smiling none the less as the grass now grows and it tremors and shakes as the wind rushes over the blades of grass… The Crocus too are beginning to appear, some in bloom while others catch up..

Spring is almost here…. And we feel her calling as we unfurl from our winters sleep..

Love to you Doda.. love and Blessings … Sue ❤

  11. Your words here, messages, and photos lifted me to a dream state, dear Doda. The “Queen of all Seasons,” the miracle of spring, is so uniquely demonstrated in your collage photos, the snowy sight of Parnassus, and my favorite–the same Tree, the same Place, the same Soul–the glorious tamarix tree. Thank you for this delightful opportunity to greet spring. My best to you, as always, dearest Doda… 😀 ♥

    • Thank you Gretchen Dear! It was just a photo I took with my smart phone, and it’s simply manipulated, nothing special, just for fun,not for the eyes of a remarkable and inspired painter like you 🙂

      • I love photography but I have not continued to pursue it. It is definitely an art form…..not point and shoot but much more. My father was an excellent photographer and so are you.

        • To be honest,I shoot at random,I don’t apply any techniques that enhance the beauty of the photos and make them effectual.I mostly focus on the subject, that’s what captivates me.Talking about your father,I am sure his photographic work was really professional and you treasure it.Love the old photos, either b/w or sepia, they are so classic.Thank you so much dear Gretchen for taking the time to visit and comment;I know how busy you are with the fabulous paintings you work on.Have a peaceful and joyful Sunday my friend 🙂 ლ ლ ლ
