The Hall of Temppeliaukio church is covered with a dome lined with copper and supported on the rock walls by reinforced concrete beams. The interior walls are of rugged rock and create excellent acoustics. The sunlight spreads from the row of windows surrounding the roof periphery to the altar wall, where an ice-age crevice serves as the altarpiece. There is a split-level platform for the choir, and floor space is reserved for an orchestra and hosts classical concerts.

  8. What an artful, creative and diverse post again Doda! So lovely, l feel like traveling when reading. Synaesthesia is lovely gift from nature…my youngest son and myself are so lucky to have received this. But I often think, that more people are gifted by this without being aware of it. xoxo Johanna

    • How interesting Johanna Dear to hear that you and the youngest Mr Walker have the innate mental power of synaesthesia! You are absolutely right saying that more people are gifted by this specific condition but they don’t know how to interpret it.Almost all people do and it has to do with the stimuli they receive from their surroundings and not only … Though most visual artists, musicians and writers cultivate it and then we are talking about artificial synaesthesia.
Thank you Johanna,it’s always nice when you come to my place 🙂 xxx

  13. This is such a beautiful surrealistic post dear Doda … Or maybe I should call it Hyper realistic text… ⭐
Light,Colours and Sounds reflect and refract in Musical notes … Beautifully said… by the way, french writer Marcel Proust knew how the handle synaesthesia… Love and I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!

    • It is surrealism that stimulates our subconscious perceptions and our imagery my sweetheart Aquileana.Although hyperrealism is also involved and intensifies the powers of the mind and you look at our universe with new eyes.So many pictorial and acoustical elements around us that create the illusionary and we wonder if reality exists or cannot be seen by the human eye … Yes,M.Proust was never afraid to go too far because he knew that truth lies beyond … He is one of those who showed us the way to live, not to simply exist …
How insightful your comment was,my sweet Aquileana! You do know how to live and discover all the colours and sounds of life …
Love & more to you ❤ , Doda 🙂 xoxox

I intend to take more time to listen to Sibelius’ No. Symphony. And the T. Church in Helsinki is exquisite. What a delightful place in which to honor love and faith and the earth in this lovely rock church. Thanks so much for this truly jubilant post, a celebration in life. 😀 😀 ♥

Did you choose to get help via email ? Did you see the stated common problems on the list which say if none of them is your problem, please write beneath in a special box and describe analytically the problem you face,Actually it says : Other than that : and it’s the last choice on the list.If you click it,a box opens and you can write about it.Also, there is a special Forum that has a list of problems and you can see many solutions displayed. Please let me know if I can help in any way.Hugs ❤ xxx PS:Please keep me posted about it,I know how frustrating and annoying it is 😦

          • I did all that to contact them. And, I had email exchanges with them regarding the access problems, but they never di fix it then stop communicating with me. Glad to know others are having problems with flickr, so I’m not feeling dumb. I think it the system that they set up is inflexible which probably causes the confusions and problems. But, I’ll try again to contact them…. 😦 I’m sorry to make you wonder…

            • It might have to do with their server,I am sure they know it and probably right now they are working on the problem.Yes,you are not the only one, soon they will fix it.However, contact them again, the more complaints they get,the harder they work on that.
Anxiously waiting for your news on the matter ❤ xxx
